Procurement Fridays – Session 2/3
Venue: Procurement Fridays - Session 2/3
Date: Friday, 27th February 2026
Echelon Improvement Partnerships (EIP) is pleased to confirm the return of Procurement Fridays, a free procurement law webinar series designed for professionals working on the buyer side of UK public procurement.
Following the success of the previous series, we are delighted to announce another three-part programme, delivered by Kieran McGaughey, Solicitor and Procurement Law Trainer alongside our regular host, Mathew Baxter.
The sessions are aimed at those working in public sector procurement, commissioning, and governance, and maintain a clear buyer‑side focus throughout.
The sessions will explore a range of topical and practical issues, including:
- Achieving the right balance between price, quality, and social value
- Key ingredients of a robust Invitation to Tender (ITT)
- Reserving contracts to local suppliers – factors and risks to consider
- Managing and responding to abnormally low tenders
- Lessons from Provider Selection Regime (PSR) panel cases
- Latest procurement case law updates
- Recent Procurement Policy Notes (PPNs)
- Updates on the government consultation to amend the Procurement Act
The series will also respond to emerging developments, ensuring the content remains current and relevant.
Session 2 of 3 will take place on Friday 27 February 2026 between 10am – 11am. There are three joining options available:
1. The Meeting ID and passcode for this meeting is:
- Meeting ID: 380 048 630 715 91
- Passcode: e5xZ3BW9
- and then entered here via “join a meeting” here: https://teams.live.com/free
2. You can receive the joining link for each meeting in advance by signing up to our newsletter, at the bottom of the EIP website.
3. A joining link will appear on this webpage on the day of the event.
We are encouraging attendees to utilise the first two options to ensure you are admitted into the session on time. We encountered issues with the number of people visiting the EIP website at the same time during the last series of sessions which meant that the website wasn’t loading and some people were delayed or unable to join.
We look forward to welcoming both returning and new delegates to Procurement Fridays!
