Asset Management Improvement Partnership - 10.03.26

Asset Management Improvement Partnership (AMIP) will be taking place on Tuesday 10 March 2026 at Cathedral View and is based within St Vincent’s Centre, home of The Passage, a homelessness charity.
During the lunchtime period, delegates will have access to the rooftop garden which was crafted and landscaped by Adam Frost, a seven-time gold medallist at the Chelsea Flower Show and BBC presenter and offers breath-taking views of Westminster Cathedral.
This AMIP event will be focusing specifically on Awaab’s Law and the practical steps that can be taken to tackle damp, mould, and housing disrepair. Hear from expert panellists on best practice, case studies and strategies for implementing the law effectively while improving tenant satisfaction. Speakers at this event will include:
- Tristan Hemsley, specialist in building safety, disrepair, HHSRS, damp & mould and Awaab’s Law, with previous roles at NHG, Croydon Council and Orbit Group
- Justine Hunkins, Partner at Chadwick Lawrence with nearly 20 years’ experience advising social landlords on housing conditions, disrepair and compliance
- Scott Evans, Founder of Dwelling Doctors who are specialists in identifying and resolving the root causes of damp, condensation and mould through practical, long-term solutions
- Clint Walker from Eco Approach will explain how Awaab’s Law is reshaping the role of contractors in identifying damp and mould risks earlier, improving communication and reporting and supporting safer homes. The session will highlight how everyday observations during works, better documentation and collaborative working with housing providers can help prevent issues from escalating and strengthen compliance without increasing contractor liability.
- Lisa Turner, Head of Repairs Operations at Peabody and Vicky Holland, Operations Support Manager at L&Q, will share practical insights into how their organisations are adapting their end-to-end repairs services in response to the evolving expectations and regulatory pressures. The session will explore key behavioural and process changes for frontline teams, highlighting how shifts in ways of working, decision-making and customer interaction are improving the repairs journey.
