Insights From the Latest ADR Working Group Session

On 28 April 2025, the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Working Group came together for its third and final session, focused on working collaboratively to shape a standardised approach to ADR in the sector.

The session, which was led by Echelon Group CEO Mathew Baxter, was supported by key insights from Riverside Housing Group and Devonshires LLP. Victoria Smith, Partner at Devonshires LLP. Highlighted some of the key takeaways from recent county court rulings, her overview reinforced the need for ADR models that are procedurally sound and legally defensible.

The group also participated in structured breakout sessions which focused on each stage of the ADR journey. These conversations underscored the sector’s shared ambition to create a scalable framework that works for both small and large providers.

With this final working group session complete, efforts will now focus on developing a national ADR standard that housing providers can adopt and adapt.

We’re also pleased to announce the launch of our new ADR clinics, co-hosted by Echelon and Riverside Group. These sessions, which will run for six months, are open to any RP interested in exploring or implementing ADR and will provide a forum for questions, shared learning, and peer support. More details will be released shortly.

Thank you to all those who contributed to this valuable series. We look forward to continuing the momentum together.
