Virtual AMIP 1 - Competence or Consequence?

Please join us for the virtual AMIP session focused on why workforce capability has become the defining challenge for housing providers and contractors, taking place on Tuesday 15 September between 9am – 9.45am.
The expectations placed on housing providers and contractors are evolving rapidly, with increasing focus on competence, accountability and assurance across the sector. This executive insight session will explore why organisations that invest in workforce capability today will be better positioned to meet future challenges than those simply responding to compliance requirements.
Led by Helen Francis, Director of Skills Solutions Group and Mathew Baxter, CEO of Echelon Group, the session will examine the changing landscape, including the impact of the Consumer Standards, Awaab’s Law, the Building Safety Act and evolving procurement expectations.
Through practical insight and sector experience, delegates will explore the hidden competence gaps that exist across direct labour teams, supply chains, supervisors and managers, and consider the importance of moving beyond assumptions towards evidence-based workforce assurance.
The session will showcase how leading organisations are approaching workforce capability differently, including competency frameworks, skills mapping, workforce intelligence, future-focused recruitment and continuous development. Delegates will leave with practical actions they can take to strengthen workforce capability and build organisational resilience.
