 Disrepair and Complaints Handling - 9.30am-12.30pm

We are delighted to announce that we have partnered with Chris Grose of Chris Grose Training and Consultancy to deliver a training session on disrepair and complaints handling.

Chris has worked in the social housing sector for 23 years has held operational and senior positions at various organisations including an Arms Length Management Organisation, The Chartered Institute of Housing and a leading national law firm Capsticks LLP. Chris is well known in the sector and sits on the CIH South West Board and is also a Board Member for Ocean Housing Limited.

Exclusively for members, the three-hour training session is designed to provide valuable insight to the common trends leading to disrepair claims and the complaints process. We’ll be focussing on the key elements of the new complaint handling code and how to apply it to official complaints around disrepair. We’ll also touch upon the Regulator of Social Housing Consumer Standards, with particular focus on handling complaints and what the regulator will be looking for when carrying out inspections. This session will also provide useful tips on how to handle challenging situations and effective audit trails/case management for disrepair claims.

The same session will take place at either 9.30am or 1.30pm on Friday 14 June 2024.
