Disrepair Improvement Group 14.05.26

This will be the virtual meeting of Disrepair Improvement Group which is taking place on Thursday 14 May 2026 between 10am – 12pm.

This session will be led and chaired by Tristan Hemsley, specialist in HHSRS, Damp and Mould, Awaab’s Law and Building Safety and will include the following speakers:

• Danny Bird, Repairs Consultant and Interim Assistant Director of Regulated Delivery at Aster Group, will be providing an update on Awaab’s Law 6 months on from the law coming into force, an overview of Phase 2 of the legislation and the importance of proactive risk management for landlords.
• Tashaun Blake, Disrepair and Damp & Mould lead, will be sharing actionable insights from his personal experiences of the differing and evolving approaches to Disrepair by Councils and housing associations.
• Naoise Webster, Property Litigation Solicitor at Winckworth Sherwood, will be speaking about the emerging trends and challenges in Disrepair Claims due to the impact of Awaab’s Law, in particular the increasing use of injunctions.
• Andrew Thompson is a Strategic Sales Account Manager at Resideo, helping property managers boost efficiency and enhance resident comfort through Honeywell Home–powered security, water detection and climate control solutions.

Attendance is usually exclusive to AMIP members. However, as this is the first of four sessions in the relaunched DIG programme, we are opening up this session to the sector free of charge. Given the importance of the best-practice insights being shared, we want to ensure as many organisations as possible can benefit from the discussions.
