Disrepair Improvement Group – Disrepair Management

The virtual meeting of Disrepair Improvement Group – Disrepair Management will be taking place on Monday 11 December 2023.

We are pleased to advise that we will be joined at this meeting by:

• Anne-Marie Bancroft, Head of Consumer Regulation at Altair will be guiding the group through best-practice when it comes to dealing with complaints about disrepair and advise on their recommendations to ensure that organisations are listening to their residents.
• Leah Brown and Nadia Burrell, leads at Thanet Mediation Centre will be discussing Alternative Dispute Resolution with an overview of the mediation process – benefits, opportunities, technical and administrative parts of the process.
• Lord Strathcarron, MP and Government lead on the All-Party Parliamentary Dispute Resolution Committee, subject to his parliamentary duties, will be providing an overview of government policy.
• Joanne Scarlett, Head of Business Management and Repairs and Amanda Trent, Repairs Manager from Riverside Group will be discussing a damp and mould case which was recently highlighted by the Housing Ombudsman Service as it praised Riverside for ‘prompt repairs and inspections following reports of damp and mould’ alongside an overview of how Riverside Group proactively manage disrepair cases
