Safeguarding Workshop – 16.06.26

We’re hosting a virtual workshop in partnership with Synergy Safeguarding , a specialist safeguarding consultancy providing training, bespoke support and and safeguarding accreditation.

This session is designed to bring together contractors, social landlords, and sector professionals to explore the real safeguarding challenges faced in housing and community settings.

While most social landlords now have established safeguarding frameworks, this is not always mirrored within the contractor organisations they procure. Yet contractors and tradespeople are often the most frequent visitors to residents’ homes, making them uniquely placed to notice early signs of vulnerability, abuse, neglect or exploitation.

Facilitated by Hazel O’Halloran, Founder and Director of Synergy Safeguarding, the workshop will be a supportive, safe space to explore themes around effective safeguarding.

As safeguarding responsibilities continue to rise across the sector, ensuring contractors have the same confidence, clarity and organisational support as social landlords is becoming essential. This session will highlight the practical steps contractors can take to strengthen their safeguarding culture and work in true partnership with housing providers to keep residents safe.

Attendees will be invited to contribute their views and experiences through a live anonymous poll, helping to create an open and honest discussion about the challenges, opportunities and support required surrounding safeguarding within the sector.

The insights gathered will be used to inform the development of a safeguarding programme for AMIP members and contribute to a forthcoming Safeguarding Whitepaper.
